Ms. Nelvaline Rebecca Addy, age 90 of St. Marys, passed away on the morning of Monday, July 2nd, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga.
Ms. Addy was born on July 15th, 1927 in Fields, La. to the late John and Artie Hyatt Walker. Her family shares with us, “Nelvaline left a legacy of love and laughter. Her lively spirit will live on through her family. Even after almost breaching 91 years old, she was spunky and full of sass. Her determinations helped her start and run a successful business and raise a family. We will miss her greatly and look forward to the day we will see her again. So with Nelvaline in mind, use the china, wear the pearls and always eat the cake!”
Ms. Addy is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Ronnie) Barber of St. Marys, Ga.; her sisters, Ruth Wheat of Montgomery, La., Maxine Johnson of Coushatta, La. and Illene Walker, of Montgomery, La., and her brother, Clarence (Barbara) Walker of Montgomery, La., her grandchildren, Becky Bacon, Amy Sullivan, Patty Mills, Jenny Alicea, and Jamie Howell; and her great-grandchildren, Michael Sullivan, Mark Corrigan, Chelsea Corrigan, Blake Corrigan, Chandler Bacon, Leah Reynolds, Kai Campbell, Taylor Hilbert, Ava Alicea, Justice Alicea, Julia Alicea, Nolan Alicea, Anthony Alicea, Bella Alicea, Julius Alicea, and Landon Howell.
