Mrs. Barbara Ann Lynch-Adams, age 82 of Woodbine, Ga. passed away at her home May 23rd, 2018.
She was born on June 12th, 1935 in Granville City, NC. to the late Edgar & Louise Brogden. She graduated from high school in 1953. Barbara retired from South Eastern Bank. She was an avid gardener, seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She spent many years at the Woodbine Baptist Church and shaped many young minds as a preschool Sunday school teacher. Barbara enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She made cross country trips, including a trip to Alaska. Not only was Barbara devoted to her family, she also touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Ken) Gay of Nahunta, Ga. and Sheree Lynch Brigman of Mt. Holly, NC; her six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and her numerous nieces and nephews. Of her family by marriage, she has three step-sons, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband of 39 years, William Lynch and later her second husband of 16 years, Vern Adams; her four brothers and her sister.
Services will be held graveside at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. on Friday, May 25th, 2018 at 10 AM. with Rev. Eddie Rawl presiding.
