Stella Faye Snipes Strickland

Mrs. Stella Faye Strickland, age 69, went home to be with the Lord morning of Monday June 19th, 2017 at her home in Kingsland, GA surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Strickland was born February 7th, 1948 in Ambrose, GA to the late Jimmie Lee Snipes and Janie Jones Snipes Ricketson. Her late step-father, Jeff Ricketson was also a big part of her life.

Her family said of her, “Faye was a 1967 graduate of Camden County High School. Faye and her family relocated to Woodbine, Ga in 1962. She was a devoted member of Paxton Revival Center in Jacksonville, Fl. until her health failed her. She loved being a housewife and mother to her 2 sons. On sunny days you could find Faye working in her yard and flower beds. She loved to plant flowers and watch them bloom. She loved to witness to people about the Lord.” She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Roger Strickland of Kingsland, GA.; her sons, Dale Strickland Doug Strickland both of Kingsland, GA.; she will forever be missed by her sister, Vicki (Edward) Aldridge of Woodbine, GA; her brothers, Jimmie (Marilyn) Snipes of Yulee, FL, Donald Snipes of St. Marys, GA, Jerry (Cindy) Snipes of Homeland, GA, and Danny (Debbie) Ricketson of Georgetown, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Strickland was preceded in passing by her brother Lavaughn Ricketson.

Calling hours will be from 11am to 12 pm Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. A service will follow immediately in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Cliff Roberson presiding. Interment will follow at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, GA. Pallbearers will be Shannon Herrin, Cody Herrin, Edward Aldridge, Jimmie Snipes, David Snipes, and Dustin Webb.
