Robert Howard Kelly

Mr. Robert Howard Kelly, age 91, of the Harrietts Bluff Community in Woodbine, passed away Saturday, July 16th, 2016 from a brief illness at his home.
Mr. Kelly was born July 22nd, 1924 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late James and Kathryn Brown Kelly.
Mr. Robert H. Kelly, “Pops”, a WWII veteran passed away on July 16th at his home from a brief illness. He had lived in varies states including New Jersey and Texas before he settled in Camden County. He lived at his Harrietts Bluff home for 26 years where he made numerous close friends. He served in the Navy and Merchant Marines. During his service he was able to cross the equator several times. Pops loved to garden and go fishing and crabbing at the dock close to his home. Mr. Kelly will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
He is survived by his adopted son Alan O’Conner, son-in-law George E. Thrall, a granddaughter Missy Laura Thrall, son Robert M. Kelly, son Nickolas E. Kelly, and daughter Mary Kelly Costa, as well as many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family.
Besides his parents, Mr. Kelly was preceded in passing by his wife, Betty Kelly, a daughter, Anna Patty Thrall, and a granddaughter, Angela Thrall.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, August 12th, 2016 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida with military honors for Mr. Kelly.

    I am so sorry I missed this . I loved Mr Kelly . Used to wait on him at Steffen’s Restaurant for years and then at SGHS . He will be greatly missed
