On January 8th, 1983, Mr. Skipper married the love of his life, Florence Elaine Skipper, which he adored for over 33 years. A true love story people wish and dream to have. He worked at Gilman until the mill closed, so he decided to retire. He did help his son Michael with building houses, until the heat became unsafe for his health, but he loved to work. Mr. Skipper had a passion for sports. He went from being a high school football star to a senior softball player, playing into his early 60’s. He also remained an active golfer, until his death.
