Ms. Verna Elizabeth Hunter, age 80 of St. Marys, Ga. passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 at BayView Nursing Home in Nahunta, Ga.
Ms. Hunter was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 28th, 1935. She is the daughter of the late Mike and Katherine Gergely Adams. Ms. Adams was a child of the Great Depression, and used its lessons as her guide to life. She was a great care provider for her family, from cooking delicious hot meals to making sure their home was spic & span. These ways defined her throughout her life. She was frequently seen making sure her yard was tidy, raked and mowed, regularly providing the example for her neighbors to follow. She also was a lover of the outdoors and had a cabin at 3R Fish Camp, where she would often enjoy fishing and camping. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of her gentle, loving ways and kind guiding words. Ms. Hunter loved the Lord and often would reference God’s word for guidance and advice to others. The peace which passes all understanding is where she is now. She will be greatly missed.
