Ms. Summers was born June 6, 1959 in New London, Connecticut. She is the daughter of George Marshall and Marjorie Jane Green Marshall. Jae was a 1977 graduate of Ledyard High School in Ledyard, Connecticut. She was a proud Ledyard Colonels’ supporter, while her love of animals earned her a Farmer of the Year award while attending there. Love of animals stayed a part of her over her lifetime. Jae worked in the town of Ledyard Tax office to begin her career. To better her education she worked to become a graduate of the New London Hair Academy in New London, Ct. Shortly after graduation Jae married Rick (sailor U.S.N.) and relocated to Camden County, Ga. in 1992.
