Mr. Dewey Graham, Sr. age 80 of St. Marys Senior Care Center, passed away on the evening of Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Center. He passed away peacefully with a smile upon his face as he went to meet the Lord. His family was at his bedside.
Mr. Graham was born on January 3, 1934 in Telfair County, Ga. He is the son of Sarah Frances Mason & Alexander Dewey Graham.
Mr. Graham was a life time resident of Fernandina Beach, Fl. He retired from Terminal Paper Bag Company in Yulee, Fl. and was then employed by Floyd Garret Construction until his health would no longer allow him to work. He was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Fernandina until he moved to St. Marys, GA. in 2000. After his move, he became a member of the 1st United Pentecostal Church in Kingsland, Ga. Mr. Graham enjoyed the Senior Care Center. He made it his goal to make everyone there happy and feel good and he did just that. He would always leave a scripture with his family and friends in the Bible in the back of Acts 2-38. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Mr. Graham is survived by his children, Anna and her husband, Marvin Lee of St. Marys, Ga., Linda White of Tampa, Fl., Sharon Vanier and her husband Dale of Fernandina Beach, Fl. and Dewey Graham, Jr. of Franklin, In.; his sister, Velma White of Navarro, Fl.; his grandchildren, Billy Joe Lee, Marvin L. Lee, Jr., Nancy Maria Lee, Gary Matthew Graham, Aaron Alexander Graham, Sarah Noel Graham, Caleb Joseph Graham, Danielle Elise Lee, Julie Anne’ Lee, Mellissa Lynn Walker and Jamie Lynn Smith; his 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Along with his parents, Mr. Graham joins his brothers, Gerald Dean & Edward Gordon ‘John’ Graham and James Curtis Murrell in Heaven.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 AM Thursday, December 4, 2014 with Pastor Steven Smith presiding. Interment will follow in Bosque- Bello Cemetery in Fernandina Beach, Fl.
