Mrs. LeJuana Rose Bruce, age 74 of Kingsland’s Clarks Bluff Road community passed away on the evening of Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Bruce was born on August 1, 1940 in Jacksonville, Fl. She is the daughter of the late Natalie Patterson & William E. Colson. She was married to her late husband, Woody Bruce, for 53 years until he went to be with the Lord in 2013. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and beautiful spirit, her exceptional endurance, her unending love and devotion to Jesus, and her gift of singing to Him throughout her life.
Mrs. Bruce is survived by her beloved children, Dana & Flip Skipper and Edward Bruce all of Kingsland, Ga.; her sisters, Dawn & Walter Merck of Kingsland, Ga. and Gloria Davis of Brunswick, Ga.; her grandchildren, Cameron & Jona Bruce, Kelly Skipper, Ashley & Josh Groover, Cole Bruce and Hope Skipper; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Beau, Brantley, Gunner & Erin.
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Bruce joins her sisters, Dolores and Laverne in Heaven.
Calling hours for the Bruce family will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bruce will begin at 11 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Kingsland First United Methodist Church in the old sanctuary with Pastor Chip Strickland presiding. Interment will follow the service in Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Ga. with Rev. Rick Oglesby providing the committal prayers. Pallbearers will be Cameron Bruce, Cole Bruce, Joey Daniels, Joshua Groover, Ronnie Pollock & David Hartley. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Bruce & Lang Bruce.
