Ms. Sharona Nakissa McCutchen, age 33, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Southeast Georgia Health System in Camden.
Ms. McCutchen was born February 20, 1981 in Gainesville, Florida to Sammie and Velma McCutchen.
Her family said about her “Sharona was such a fun loving person whose time here was short but will be an eternity with God. She was very loving and caring. She loved both of her kids, Devarion and Detravious very much. She was very smart and a genius when it came to computers. She loved to laugh and she would do anything for anyone that she could help. She took pride in her appearance and excelled in everything that she did. She loved her mom so much that she followed her everywhere she went, and never wanted to spend a day without her. She loved her father to the core; no one could mess with her poppa. From the time Sharona was born, she was full of joy and we all knew that she would make a great mom someday. She loved to fish with her dad and baby sit for her sissy, Lissa. Her favorite color was purple just like her oldest sister, Vernadette. She and her brother Santell were like twins, when one got sick so did the other. Sharona was especially close to her baby sister, Syretta, who she told all of her secrets. Then there was Marvin, her baby brother who she taught how to read and write and always made sure to take care of him as if he were her own. Sharona, you were a great person and special to us all.. You will be truly missed and we know that you are watching over us. We will always remember that beautiful smile that lit up the room and glowed even in the darkest nights. We love you so much. You will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts every day. You got your wings. Now it’s time to fly… You will never be forgotten. Love you now, always and forever….”
Besides her parents, Ms. McCutchen is survived by her sons, Devarion Kitchen and Detravious McCutchen, both of Kingsland; her sisters, Vernadette White of South Carolina, Felissa (Jerry) Stephens of Kingsland, and Syretta McCutchen of Kingsland; her brothers, Marvin Jones of Kingsland, and Santell McCutchen of Kingsland.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will begin at 11 am, Thursday. September 18th, 2014 in the Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home to pay respects to the family.
From the time God Made you, He knew you had a special seat in heaven
God saw your face and knew that you were tired and you were ready to be at peace
God laid you to rest on a quiet beautiful day in September
A day that you will always be remembered.
So close your eyes and sleep my dear
You will always been in your hearts and you have nothing to fear
We had you here, and God has you now
We knew that you would leave someday, we just didn’t know how.
