Shirley Ann PippinMrs. Shirley Ann Pippin, age 79 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away unexpectedly at UF/Shands in Jacksonville, Fl. early Tuesday morning, May 27th, 2014.

Mrs. Pippin was born on May 8th, 1935 in Ingleside, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Floyd Edward Glasgow and the late Mabel Gertrude Mixon Glasgow. “Sister Shirley” was a devote Christian, a member of the Family at The Harbor Worship Center, and a Prayer Warrior. In her youth, she found comfort in writing fiction stories, crafting, and sewing.

he was extremely giving; supporting many different charities, such as the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Trinity Broadcasting Network, World Missions and Paralyzed Vets of America. To the Church, her faith and devotion provided peace to those that needed it most and created an example for others to follow. Many have said that they could always confide in her their secrets and that she would always provide them with comforting advice or prayer, even if it was 3 o’clock in the morning. To the Family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, or “GG”, as her great grandchildren call her. Her caring nature touched so many people. She was truly loved by us all and the love that she had given to us all in return was tenfold. We will miss her greatly!

Mrs. Pippin is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Debi & Joe Earl of Kingsland, and Cheryl & Hector Martinez, Sr. of Orlando, Fl.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jeannette & Daniel Reeves of Townsend, Ga., Daniel & Marie Earl of Hanahan, SC, Hector & Stephanie Martinez, Jr. of Coronado, Ca., Tony & Elizabeth Martinez of Merritt Island, Fl., Adam Martinez & Stacey DeBatt of Palm Bay, Fl., Erica Pippin of Raleigh, NC and Dustin Pippin of Raleigh, NC; and her great grandchildren, Zachery Scates, Ryan & Tyler Reeves and Jack & Henry Earl.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Pippin joins her husband, Robert Louis Pippin, her daughter, Jeanette and her son, Bobby Wayne in Heaven.

A visitation will begin at 10am Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Harbor Worship Center on Hwy 40 West in Kingsland. Funeral services will follow there at 11am with Pastor Michael Sanes presiding. Pallbearers will be Danny Earl. Danny Reeves, Hector Martinez, Sr., Joe Earl, Adam Martinez and Dustin Pippin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Martinez, Hector Martinez, Jr. and Zachery Scates. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.

The family requests any memorial contributions being made in Mrs. Pippin’s honor to go to the Harbor Worship Center, PO Box 608/ Kingsland, Ga. 31548.
