Robert Alden Dutton, age 65 of Wren Road in Kingsland, Ga. passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, March 17th, 2013 at Southeast Georgia Regional Health System’s Camden Campus in St. Marys, Ga.
Mr. Dutton was born on May 29th, 1947 in Hurricane, Utah. He is the son of the late Daniel Rex Dutton, Sr. and Barbara Eager Dutton. Mr. Dutton was a career US Navy veteran and later was a dedicated employee at Wal-Mart. He married his sweetheart, Bonnie Rae Slaughter in St. George, Utah on September 29th, 1970 and they have journeyed life’s roads together for almost 42 years. From his family’s perspective, Mr. Dutton was one to be a kind and patient husband, father, grandfather and friend. His gentle ways, easy laugh and teachings of selflessness by example will be absent from everywhere, but the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him best. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Dutton is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie R. Dutton; his mother, Barbara Dutton of Grand Junction, Co.; his daughters, Molly Dutton of St. Marys, August (Jayson) Starmer of Kingsland, Barbara Elizabeth (Nathan) Wright of Park Rapids, Mn., and Leilani (Jeff) Tessman of Detroit Lake, Mn.; his sons, Joel Robert (Kristy) Dutton of Saguaro, Az. and James ‘Rex’ Dutton of Kingsland; his sisters, Carol (Duane) Wheatley of Grand Junction, Co., and Kristina (James) Cook of Oregon City, Or.; his brothers, Daniel ‘Rex’ Dutton of St. George, Utah and Gary (June) Dutton of Spanish Fork, Utah; his grandchildren, Courtney, Faith, Joseph, Dylan, Lane, Maddison, Isabel, Juliette, Jade, Xander, Sabastian, Cheyenne, Kylee, Brianna, Charlie, Zachary and Julia; and his several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 am Thursday, March 21st, 2013 at the Latter Day Saints Church In Kingsland with the funeral service to follow in the sanctuary at 11 am. Interment will be held at 1:30 pm in the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fl. with military honors to be rendered.
