Callista Fae Wells

Callista Fae WellsMrs. Callista Fae Wells, age 79 of Eagle Blvd in Kingsland, Ga. passed away in the early morning Saturday, August 18th, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Wells was born in San Diego, California on August 12th, 1933. She is the daughter of the late John Paul and Irene Haskins Parker.

Callista Fae Wells, a wife, mother, sister and daughter did what the good Lord asked her to do and that was to serve others and in so doing she was being a servant to Him. She always gave of herself and never complained. She loved unconditionally as a mother does.
She took her marriage vows seriously as well and was a devoted wife. She could have complained about the trials and tribulations of 59 years of marriage and raising five children but that’s not who she was. She was a woman of God whether she realized it or not and you just felt her warmth and love every time you came near her. I ask you …Is that not God?

Oh and let’s not forget her love and knack for solving crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, reading Harlequin romance paperback books and years ago how she enjoyed reading Erle Stanley Gardner mysteries. She loved to read as well as to sew, knit and crochet her family and friends Christmas decorations. She loved a good story, she loved to laugh, and she had a wonderful sense of humor.

In her final days, Mom was still being a mom as moms will do when she said she didn’t want to be a burden to her family. It broke our hearts to hear those words because she was never a burden to us. But we realize now that she was just being who she always was…a giver and someone who was just looking out for us even though it was her time to be taken care of.

She was a true servant of God. And now Mom it is your time to enter God’s kingdom and be free of any pain and truly rest in peace. We love you and we leave you with God.
