Mrs. Autumn Stenger Farley, age 49 passed away unexpectedly at her home in Woodbine, Ga. Tuesday, June 26th, 2012.
Autumn was born on February 12th, 1963 in Beech Grove, Indiana. She is the daughter of the late Maurice Robert Stenger, Sr. and Eunice Ann Clarkson Stenger. Autumn attended Emmrich Manual High School graduating in 1981. She attended Central Nine Vocational School receiving a certificate as a Qualified Medical Aide. Autumn also attended Indiana Vocational Technical College (IVY TECH) where she studied for a Nursing degree. In 1982 she met Darrell J. Farley Jr. They married on May 11th, 1984 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Autumn was a caring, loving soul, who loved her family, her dogs and her fish. Autumn never met a stranger and often would give the last ten dollars in her purse to the homeless and travelers who were stranded. She will be greatly missed.
Autumn is survived by her devoted husband, Darrell J. Farley, Jr.; her daughters, Jacquelyn Marie and her husband Charles W. McCoy, Sarah Rose Marie Farley, and Samantha Joe and her husband Steven Jackson, all of Savannah; her brother, Maurice Robert Stenger, Jr. and his partner Mary Vincent of Fountain Town, Ind.; her grandchildren, Charles William McCoy IV, Madelyn Ann Marie McCoy, Annabelle June McCoy and Alexander Peyton McCoy. Besides her father, Mrs. Farley was preceded in passing by her sister, Sharon Bailey.
A graveside service will be held in the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida on Monday, July 23rd, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Due to the flower policies of the cemetery, the family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions in her honor be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in August.
