Opal Glynn DyalsMrs. Opal Glynn Dyals, age 86 of St. Marys, Ga. passed away in the late afternoon on Tuesday, April 24th, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Hilliard, Fl.

Mrs. Dyals was born on April 14th, 1926 in Hortense, Ga. She is the daughter of the late James Franklin and Ruth Matilda Stewart Jacobs. Mrs. Dyals is the wife of the late Raymond Lee Dyals, Sr. They were married in Waycross on December 19, 1943 and shared 55 years together until Mr. Dyals passing in 1998. Mrs. Dyals was a secretary at Gilman Paper Company. She was a member of the St. Marys Baptist Church and the Dorcus Drake Sunday School class. She was also a proud member of the Eastern Star. Her passions were her family and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.

Mrs. Dyals is survived by her sons and their spouses; Raymond and Cindy Dyals and Roger and Ruth Ann Dyals, all of St. Marys; her grandchildren, Christa, Dale, Lee and Mark; her great grandchildren, Dustin, Jackson, Davis, Cade, Hunter and Ryan; plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Dyals was also preceded in passing by her sister, Louise Freeman and her brother, Colon Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held graveside at 3 pm Friday, April 27th, 2012 at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys with Pastor Chip Strickland presiding.
