Henry James Middleton

Henry James MiddletonMr. Henry James Middleton, 81 of the Billyville Road community in Woodbine passed away at his residence late Thursday evening April 22nd, 2010 after a valiant fight with cancer.

Mr. Middleton was born in Ludowici, Ga. on December 16th, 1928. He is the son of the late Blenty and Mary Elizabeth Deen Middleton. Mr. Middleton was employed by Brunswick Pulp and Paper and later Camden County Road Department as an equipment operator for many years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of the Woodbine Church of God. Papa Middleton will be greatly missed by his family and friends
Mr. Middleton is survived by his children; Janice (Bill) Miller of Woodbine and Jerry (Carolyn) Middleton of White Oak; his sister, Elizabeth “Lucille” Sapp of the Colesburg Community; his brother, Marion Francis “MF” Middleton of Jesup; his grandchildren, Brad (Traci) Miller, Stephen (Ammie) Miller, Chad (Jennifer) Middleton, and Alicia (Jamie) Snow; his seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Middleton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Corine Edna Ryals Middleton.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, April 25th, 2010 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, April 26th, 2010 in the Woodbine Church of God on the Billyville Road. Pastor Chris Ogden will preside. Casket bearers will be Johnny Thomas, Ellis Howard, Leon Thrift, George Carter, Jimmy Carter, and John Fear. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Woodbine Church of God.

The committal service and interment will be held in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine.
