Mrs. Bonnie Jae Fear, 50 of Woodbine passed away at her residence early Thursday morning, August 20th, 2009 surrounded by her loving family and many close friends.
Mrs. Fear is a native of Mercer County, New Jersey. She was born in Trenton on March 15th, 1959 and has been a resident of Camden County for over 15 years.
Mrs. Fear was the most caring, loving and selfless person you could ever have the privilege of meeting. Before she found her calling as a proud wife, mother and grandmother, she served our country in the United States Army. She was a dedicated Navy wife for 16 years and chose to forego her dreams and life’s ambitions to stay home and raise her two children. When she felt as though she had completed that most important job, she served the community as a probation officer, worked at Cabin Bluff with many Camden County natives and finally found her calling at Gateway Community Center working with the mentally challenged. For the past 11 years Mrs. Fear has been a dedicated Policeman’s wife. Mrs. Fear never hesitated to help anyone in need and received many blessings for her kind, giving ways. While her family and many friends mourn her loss we all know she is finally with the Lord that she so loved to serve.
Mrs. Fear is survived by her beloved husband John E. Fear, her daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Lars Erlandson of Jacksonville, Fl.; her son, William Charles Fear of Woodbine; her grandchildren Ethan Hayes and Abigail Erlandson both of Jacksonville, Fl; her grandmother, Hazel Britton Shipe of Trenton, NJ; her mother, Barbara Shipe of Keystone Heights, FL; and her sisters, Robin Schaffer of Wheatfield, In., Dawne Reeder of Belvidere, NJ, Marcy Shipe of Longvalley, NJ, and Diane Armstrong of Leesport, Pa. She was predeceased by her father William Shipe and her niece Kimberly Schaffer.
A visitation will be held from 7 until 9 PM, Monday August 24th, 2009 in the Wainwright Chapel at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday August 25th, 2009 in the Woodbine Church of God with Pastor Chris Ogden presiding. The casket bearers will be Mark Bartimus, Vinnie Passarella, James Galloway, Don Belcher, Josh Clark, and Eric Koenig.
