Mrs. Sue Ann Wainwright, 67, of Kingsland passed away early Thursday morning April 16th, 2009, at her residence at 94 Vacunna Road.
Mrs. Wainwright is a Toombs County, GA native. She was born on September 16th, 1941 and is the daughter Henry Vernon and Erma Wise Johnson. Sue Ann loved to sit outside and watch the hummingbirds. Her favorite hobby was cooking. Her family believed that she was the best cook in the county, if not the state.
She is survived by her beloved husband, V. Thomas Wainwright of Kingsland; her daughters, Bonnie Sue Hall (Larry) of Green Cove Springs, FL., Christine Minor of Yulee, FL., Donna Kay Krutcher (James) of Nahunta, and Angela Wainwright Baker of Yulee, FL; her sons, Dale Rodgers (Eloise) of Baxley, Charles Wainwright and Lester Todd Wainwright both of Kingsland, and Thomas Wainwright (Vicki) of Waverly; her sisters, Ellen Harden (Kenneth) of Darien, and Juanita Giles of Callahan, FL.; her brothers, Robert Johnson (Sandra) of Yulee, FL, Kenny Johnson (Melinda Kay) of St. George, Eddy Johnson (Bet) of O’Neil, FL., Odell Johnson of Kingsland and Henry Johnson of Yulee; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; plus several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wainwright is proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, William Johnson of Homeland, GA.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, April 17th, 2009 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, April 18th, 2009 in the Chapel of Edo Miller Funeral Home Camden Chapel with Pastor Larry Hall presiding. Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Frank Sheffield, Tripp Hill, Eddy Barlow, Thomas Wainwright and Todd Wainwright. Interment will follow in Oakwell Cemetery at the end of Clarks Bluff Road in Kingsland.
