Lilly Irene Joyner, 66, of Kingsland passed away early Tuesday morning February 3rd, 2009 at the St. Marys Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Joyner was a native of Glynn County, Georgia. She was born in Brunswick on February 28th, 1942 and is the daughter of the late Bruce J. Daniels, Sr. and Delores Manning Daniels. Mrs. Joyner was a Prep High graduate in Brunswick. On September 1st, 1957 she married John Henry Joyner. They enjoyed 40 years of marriage and love together until his passing in November 1997. She was a devoted mother and housewife. Her passions included gardening and reading. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Joyner is survived by her children; Kelly L. (Shawn) Taylor, Amy A. (Ernest) Manning, Diane L. (Michael) Crews, John D. Joyner all of Kingsland and Mark S. (Carey) of Folkston; her brother, Paul Daniels of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Chris and Cheryl Crews, Amanda Strickland, Mark Joyner, Jr. and Jessica Joyner, Katie and Kassidy Taylor, and Justin and Hunter Manning; plus 16 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bruce J. Daniels, Jr. and Clyde Daniels.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday February 5th, 2009 at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Friday February 6th, 2009 at Edo Miller Chapel with Pastor Pat McCord presiding. Interment will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Pallbearers will be John Foskey, Darrel Manning, Ernie Manning, Mike Manning, Robbie Duffy, and Shawn Taylor.
