Mrs. Annie Mae Wiley, 85 of Woodbine, Georgia passed away early Sunday evening, November 30th, 2008 at the Southeast Georgia Health Systems Brunswick Campus.
Mrs. Wiley is a Camden County, Georgia native. She was born in Woodbine on July 16th, 1923 and is the daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Colson Miller. Mrs. Wiley was married to Dewy Wiley until his sudden passing in 1962. Mrs. Wiley worked at the Kraft Bag Plant in the Multiwall Division as a sewing machine operator. She retired in the late 1980s with 35 years of service.
Her passions were to garden and grow flowers. She also loved to have people over to visit. Annie’s favorite holiday was Halloween, where she enjoyed watching the smiles of happy children as she gave them candy. She attended the Forest View Baptist Church in Woodbine. She was a loving mother with a giving heart. Mrs. Wiley will be missed.
Mrs. Wiley is survived by her daughter, Susan Wiley of Woodbine; her sister, Agnes Smith of Guyton; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation was held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 at the funeral home.
A funeral service was held graveside at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 3rd, 2008 at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine with Pastor Eddie Rawl presiding. Pallbearers were Steve Miller, Troy Reeves, Paul Roberson, Larry Bruce, Terry Reeves, Ronald Walker, and John Cox.
